Come cook with me in my kitchen.
Hands-on · Seasonal · Nevada City, CA
Welcome to my kitchen. For me, there is nothing better than cooking together.
I want to share that with you. Four hands-on hours together — we tell stories, we laugh, we taste as we go, and we end the day with a beautiful feast of everything we made. I’ll pass along the little secrets that take your cooking to the next level. You’ll leave with new friends, a full belly, and the confidence to recreate it all in your own kitchen — recipes in hand, printed for you and sent digitally too.

Real Deal Falafel
Wednesday, Sep 23 · This workshop has passed

Not from a box, not from a mix. We soaked chickpeas, blended herbs and spices, and fried falafel to a crackling crisp, then baked fresh pita and filled the table with salads and dips for one big falafel feast.
On the menu: Crispy falafel · Fresh pita · Hummus · Tahini sauce · Roasted eggplant salad · Cabbage salad · Matbucha · Israeli salad · Hot sauce
Stuff It: Dolmas and More
Monday, May 26 · This workshop has passed

We rolled grape leaves the way they’ve been rolled for centuries — with herby, lemony rice, good olive oil, and the meditative rhythm of the fold. Stuffed peppers, cabbage, and onions, both vegetarian and with meat. A spread that made people pull up a chair and stay a while.
On the menu: Stuffed grape leaves · Stuffed peppers, cabbage & onions · Two classic sauces · Yogurt & tahini dip · Crunchy lettuce salad
Flaky & Fabulous Phyllo
Tuesday, June 16 · This workshop has passed

Delicate, crispy, and endlessly versatile — phyllo dough is the secret behind some of the most irresistible dishes in the Middle East. We rolled, layered, and filled our way through savory and sweet creations, from beef & lamb phyllo rolls to spanakopita, seasonal tarts, and baklava.
On the menu: Beef & lamb phyllo rolls · Spanakopita · Seasonal open face tarts · Baklava
